Hour of Devastation

Hour of Devastation arrived in July 2017, picking up where Amonkhet left off as Nicol Bolas revealed himself as the false God-Pharaoh and unleashed a trio of monstrous new gods on Naktamun's shining oasis. The story followed Samut and the surviving Amonkheti rallying around the last loyal god, Hazoret, as the city's temples and monuments crumbled under the assault. Fitting the devastation of its title, the set's full-art basic lands echoed Amonkhet's desert landscape now scarred and burning under a plane in ruin.
