Arriving in February 2022, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty leapt 1,200 years past the original Kamigawa block into a world where the mortal and spirit realms had fully merged, and the neon towers of a futuristic Kamigawa now stood alongside the ancient Jukai forest, where old traditions sheltered from the rush of modernity. The story followed young ninja Kaito Shizuki as he hunted a mysterious metal-armed assailant who had struck the emperor. The set's full-art basic lands mirrored that fusion, framing traditional shrines and misty forests beneath a glowing, high-tech skyline.
