KEXP: Where the Music Matters

Secret Lair teamed up with Seattle's independent radio station KEXP in April 2025 for Where the Music Matters, a basic land cycle by artists Dan Black and Jessica Seamans built around the idea that place and music are inseparable. Official copy pointed to KEXP's real-world home in the shadow of the Space Needle, and its "Gathering Space" where visitors can watch DJs spin live, while the lands themselves imagined that connection extending far beyond Seattle.
