Secret Lair's collaboration with the Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF, released in November 2021, introduced Magic's first-ever peelable card: a basic Plains depicting an idyllic golf course, with a thin metallic sticker that could be peeled away to reveal a hidden Battlefield Forge underneath. Known for irreverent, boundary-pushing art, MSCHF used the reveal as a pointed joke about golf courses — literally tearing one up to make something new.
