Released in November 2022, The Brothers' War was built as an event set, one centered not on a new world but on a pivotal moment in Dominaria's history: the escalating conflict between artificer brothers Urza and Mishra. Their rivalry spiraled into an all-out war fought with towering artifact machines, fueled by the shattered halves of an ancient Thran powerstone. The set's ten full-art basic lands leaned fully into that lore, depicting the brothers' contrasting war machines clear-cutting and strip-mining the landscape in their endless arms race.
