Theros Beyond Death

Theros Beyond Death launched in January 2020, pulling players beneath the mortal realm of Theros and into its shadowed Underworld, a land ringed by the five rivers of the Tartyx and ruled by Erebos from his palace beyond Tizerus. The story followed planeswalker Elspeth as she fought to escape that afterlife, defying both death and the god who held her captive. The set's full-art constellation basic lands mirrored that duality, each one depicting the sunlit poleis of Theros above and its shadowed Underworld below.
