Unhinged

Unhinged, released in November 2004, was the direct follow-up to Unglued — announced on April Fools' Day, deliberately timed so nobody could be sure if it was a joke. Like its predecessor, the set is built almost entirely from parody cards spoofing real tournament staples (Ancestral Recall becomes "Mise," Meddling Mage becomes "Meddling Kids"), but its five full-art basic lands are printed in black border and, uniquely among the set's 141 cards, remain fully tournament legal. Each land type appears in a single illustration, all by John Avon, the same artist behind Unstable's basics, thirteen years later. Unhinged and Unglued remain the only two Magic sets where card art is allowed to spill past its own frame, a legal exception inside a set built to bend every other rule it can find.
