Zendikar Rising arrived in September 2020, returning to a plane still bearing the scars of its battle with the Eldrazi — its skyline dominated by towering hedron monoliths, its ground still reshaped by the Roil, the restless geological force that could turn a cliff into a seaside overnight. With the Eldrazi gone, the story sent returning planeswalkers Jace, Nissa, and Nahiri back into its hidden shrines and trap-laden ruins. The set's full-art basic lands leaned fully into that treasure-hunter spirit, evoking the same unstable, exploration-ready terrain that made the original Zendikar iconic.
